The wildly-anticipated release of Diablo IV has been eleven years in the making, and it’s finally here. 
To celebrate, Blizzard offered gamers their very own minion for the weekend to take care of their "earthly duties" while they played.

Our Director, Hal Kirland, leaned into well-known horror movie themes, creating a comedic suspense while juxtaposing the Doomsayer hard at work on mundane activities.  


People loved the idea of shirking their duties and playing Diablo IV all weekend — the response was swift and enthusiastic. 




We used assets from the hero video to keep engagement active, and ended the weekend with a successful beta trial heading into the big Diablo IV launch.
